Why I Accepted a PLOS One Article About Homeopathy for Depression
I got a lot of flak from close friends and colleagues, but I don't regret this decision one bit, even a decade later.

There are so many indications that complementary and integrative medicine won the war a while ago against those of us who promote evidence-based medicine and trustworthy science with any passion. We are no longer an organized army, but our forces have been reduced to wandering bands of partisans who strike bad science soft targets that densely populate even the best of journals. It takes courage for someone to admit that they were formerly a more assertive data detective, or worse, a data thug.
Just go to the local Whole Foods or ACME grocery store or the Weavers Way food cooperative in the Chestnut Hill Village of Philadelphia. There will be shelves full of unproven and sometimes dangerous remedies with crowds of people eagerly buying them. At the Co-Op, some of them dress to signal that they are aging, but wise hippies and academics dress in costumes to suggest that they are poor or working class.
