Special Interest Groups Try to Bully US Panel Into Endorsing Screening Kids for Suicide
Catch the special interest groups in action and see why it may be futile to try to resist their influence.
The draft United States Preventive Task Force (USPTF) recommendations to screen for anxiety are open for public comment until October 17, 2022. There are several reasons why routine screening cannot be expected to measurably improve the nation’s mental health at a community or individual patient level. These reasons have proven persuasive in Canada and Europe for routine screening to be rejected.
I would not recommend anyone wasting time commenting on the draft recommendations, even if they are recognizable international experts. The review process has been highjacked by special interests that are not even interested in screening for anxiety.
Like me, you can write about USPTF to inform citizens about how our healthcare policy is determined. You can write to provide others with valuable tools to interpret guidelines and recommendations for themselves and not be intimidated by what is supposed to be the expert opinion.. You are naive or delusional if you think posting your comments…
