I was opposed to publishing anything in the Journal of Health Psychology because of the poor reputation that the journal had under Founding Editor David Marks.
David Marks repeatedly caved to a few friends of the PACE investigators on the editorial board, including barring me from contributing a commentary because of their objection that it would be a conflict of interest.
David asked me to help him review commentaries on Dr. Keith Geraghty’s target article, but then in response to the PACE investigators’ objections, he did not formally make me a member of the editorial board, despite telling me I was on the editorial board.
