British Psychological Society’s Response to Kinderman’s Trivialization of the Holocaust and Attempts to Get Me Fired
BPS trustees rejected an opportunity to distance themselves from Kinderman’s false history of the Holocaust and his harassment of critics. Someone I thought was a friend with integrity failed me.

In a momentary lapse of moral courage in 2015, Northern Irish psychologist Daryl O’Connor voted as a member of the BPS trustees to support Peter Kinderman’s trivialization of the Holocaust and his efforts to get all institutions to sever their ties with me as one of Kinderman’s sharpest critics.
As we enter 2024, this action has subsequently led to sophisticated harassment from the UK that persists in damage to my reputation and threats against my family and me where we reside in the US.
American academia, like the rest of American institutions, is profoundly split and beset by hate, antisemitism, and islamophobia associated with the Mideast conflict.
